GARDEN OF DELIGHT
There's music in the air, reaching to my heart
I feel the pulsing melody, the magical sound of the lark
Lost in silent splendor in a garden of delight
I listen to the clouds above as they float through bright sunlight
The wind whispers softly as it touches my hair
I feel the soft flutter as it gently appears
Leaves wafting silently toward the green earth
My heart fills to bursting as I watch the rebirth
Petals of color like rainbows appear
Sprouting from the earth in a delicate flair
A mystery of loveliness, the mornings fresh dew
Feeding the flowers with a musical view
THE GARDEN
The wind blows through the willow tree, Its limbs bent to the ground
The river flows beside the tree, the lapping water pounds
Beneath a sky of brilliant blue, serene within a garden
A woman softly hums a tune, the world outside forgotten
Her auburn hair falls to her waist, a basket on her arm
She gently picks the roses there, careful of the thorns
Planted with the greatest care, tended with much love
The garden that she walks in, was once nothing but dust
Life is like a garden, planted with great care
Nourished with a gentle love, it produces flowers everywhere
The fragrance drifts upon the breeze and lingers overhead
Sharing its beauty with the world in which we live
